April 27 - Getting Out

Out I go
Beyond the four walls
That close me in
And keep the world out.
I need to be submerged
Into the flavours of the day
Feel the breeze on my skin
Hear the jabber of other conversations
Smell the heaven scent of coffee
Taste the sweetness of baked delights
See the world as it buzzes along.
Out there immersed in life
I can breath that energy
Into my writing
And see it dance
Off the page
