The Tangled Web

Sarah was rocking when she felt a spider web brush her face. “Ewwwww!”

She grabbed the broomstick.

“What’re you doing?” Dad asked.

“Killing a spider!”

“Don’t you remember ‘Charlotte’s Web’? You may be killing a genius.”

Sarah relented.

As soon as he left, Sarah retrieved the stick and squished the spider. If you were smart enough to spell, then you’d be smart enough not to bug me!

Dusting her hands, she went back to rocking.
