I'm up in bonny Scotland
and haven't been for a while
I will meet all my friends and wear the latest style
The places as a child I grew
I'm about to view.
Scotia street I will put beneath my feet
And stand by the lamp where all the gang would meet
And to Angies store I will hop
Where I was sent to shop
A stone of tatties and a pound of stew
Some stories I could tell a few
I will go up the street and visit the town I knew
Motherwell, craignuke and Wishaw too
And view them how it is today
Remmbering when it was down my way.
