{Mary Ann Mcphedran {WALK BY THE RIVER} {Mary Ann MCPhedran} I walk by the river's edge And on the water the lily grows The white flower nodding to the water flow Gently swaying with the current below. By the path tall trees stand And from a warm wind breeze Creates the sound of rustling leaves The evening song is heard from the birds in the trees. Clouds float by above And colour displays on the waters edge And orange glistening lights brightly spread Shimmering on the lily water bed. } |
