Lord Claymore's Contraption: My first attempt at Steampunk I have to say that I was terrified, The day that I saw that contraption land, I did not think a sane mind could abide, The gruesome thing built by mad Claymore's hand, I thought to bury it in desert sand, Until its voice spoke like echoing bells, I threw out the destruction that I planned, I could not bury such exquisite knells, I agreed to become Lord Claymore's bride, If he renamed it Lady Claymore's Hyde. Line Count: 10 Form: Decuain = 10-line iambic pentameter poem with a choice of 3 rhyme schemes (1) a b a bb c b c a a, (2) a b a bb c b c b b, and (3) a b a bb c b c c c. |
