LEIGH’S CLOCKWORK HEART
1. CORNELIUS SAVES EMY

A. Emerald, the cat, is run over by a carriage and horses.
i. Leigh is walking back from the library and finds Emy in the dirt outside their house.
1. Rushes to Father and begs him to fix her.
2. Cornelius then frankensteins Emy to save her life.
ii. Leigh agrees never to reveal the plans to Emy.
2. THE LAB
A. Leigh works as an assistant in her Father’s lab.
i. This is against her stepmother’s wishes but she is overruled for once.
B. Leigh learns her Father’s secrets.
i. He treats her like a boy and gave her his education.
3. BALL HONORING CORNELIUS
4. DRAKKON AND VIOLET SCENE
A. Drakkon learns of Leigh’s clockwork heart from Violet, who is his mistress
B. Formulates plan over the next several months to take over city with clockwork men in an army and then soon overtake the U.S.
5. ISABELLA’S INVITATION
A. Isabella invites Leigh out to her family farm
B. Leigh accepts to her stepmother’s chargrin
C. Takes Emy along
6. HORSEBACK RIDING
A. Isabella and Leigh go horseback, where Leigh tells Isabella her secret
B. Emy is with them and requires a little frankensteining from Leigh who carries a small case with her for when she needs help.
i. Emy has a small door in her chest that allows Leigh to tweak her heart in case of emergencies. It’s covered by hair so it’s hardly noticeable unless you know where to look.
7. THE INTRODUCTION
A. Violet introduces Phineas to Leigh
B. Part of Drakkon’s plan to take over Leigh’s heart.
i. Backup plan – does not tell Phineas plans just encourages him to court Leigh
C. Leigh and Phineas go for a walk
8. DRAKKON’S SECRET PLAN IS REVEALED
A. Use Cornelius to create bio-mechanical men
B. Kill Cornelius and take credit and control of the bio-mechanical men
C. Take over Philadelphia
9. SECRET SOCIETY PROPOSAL
A. Drakkon gets together a group of powerful men in Philadelphia who are unhappy with the way the city is turning out. ‘
B. Gives proposal to men to take over Philadelphia with bio-mechanical men.
10. THE CLOCKWORK HEART
A. Drakkon gets Cornelius alone
B. Demands plans for Leigh’s clockwork heart
11. THE DEAL
A. Cornelius makes deal with Drakkon to supply Drakkon with bio-mechanical men
B. Cornelius does because Drakkon threatens to expose Leigh to the papers
12. APPLICATION
A. Leigh gets application for Penn U
i. Goes to Isabella’s apt to fill out application
B. Sends in application secretly
13. DATE WITH PHINEAS AT THE THEATRE
A. Phineas and Leigh attend an orchestra performance where Gabe is a player
B. Leigh falls hard for Gabe after hearing his solo but says nothing
C. Gabe sees them after the concert and loses hope for Leigh
14. GABE AND ISABELLA
A. Gabe decides to court others.
B. Runs into Isabella at the Library
15. LIBRARY SCENE
A. Isabella visits the library to do research for her article
B. Leigh is working so they talk, Leigh confides in Isabella her feelings for Gabe
C. Isabella runs into Gabe as she’s leaving
D. Gabe is entranced by Isabella and asks her out, unaware that she and Leigh are friends
E. Isabella accepts, not knowing that this is Gabe.
16. THE FIGHT
A. Isabella and Gabe run into Phineas and Leigh at the Park walking and Leigh gets jealous
B. Leigh takes Isabella aside and yells at her for being with Gabe, doesn’t believe Isabella didn’t know who Gabe was.
C. They fight and leave angry at each other.
17. SURGERY
A. Leigh’s heart starts to beat faster and she rushes to her father, giving Phineas the excuse that she doesn’t feel good.
B. Leigh is worried she needs surgery, but after talking to her father, her heart starts to calm down.
C. Leigh realizes how much she cares for Gabe and that she must break up with Phineas.
18. LEIGH GETS ACCEPTED TO PENN U
A. Leigh receives her acceptance letter from Penn U
B. Tells her stepmother and her father, fights with stepmother about woman’s place in the world
19. GABE’S DISCOVERY
A. Gabe is in Drakkon’s lab working when Cornelius and Drakkon come in arguing about their deal.
B. Gabe finds out about deal
20. GABE REVEALS PLANS TO LEIGH
A. Gabe runs to the library to tell Leigh about the deal between Drakkon and Cornelius
B. Reveals to Leigh that he likes her and vice versa
21. EAVESDROPPING
A. Isabella is working when Drakkon and Violet are in his room
B. Drakkon tells Violet his plan and she laughs in glee.
C. Isabella leaves work in the middle of shift to tell Leigh
D. Leigh doesn’t believe her because of her transgression against her
22. THE ARGUMENT AND BETRAYAL
A. Leigh and Cornelius argue about his deal with Drakkon
B. Leigh calls her father a hypocrite and other names
23. PHINEAS PROPOSAL
A. Leigh goes out with Phineas to break up with him
B. Phineas surprises Leigh with a proposal
i. The proposal is a distraction to get Leigh away from the lab
ii. Leigh stalls when answering and the lab explodes.
iii. Leigh rushes away to the lab
24. LAB EXPLOSION
A. Bomb made of clockwork count down is set by Drakkon
B. Drakkon leaves unaware Gabe is in lab
C. Gabe tries to disable the bomb
D. Cornelius comes in and discovers Gabe with the bomb
E. Misunderstanding, Cornelius thinks that Gabe is trying to blow up the lab
F. Finally convinces Cornelius otherwise and they work together to try to disable bomb
G. Realizing nothing will work, Cornelius tells Gabe it’s almost disabled and to get out, Gabe leaves but then the bomb goes off.
H. Cornelius is fatally wounded and Gabe is wounded
25. LEIGH SAVES GABE
A. Leigh stumbles across Gabe as she’s searching for her father in the rubble
B. Lugs him to an operating table and proceeds to save his life
C. Finds father dead in rubble after saving Gabe
D. Gabe consoles Leigh
26. ISABELLA FAMILY SCENE
A. Leigh takes Emy to Isabella for safe keeping after the explosion.
B. Believes Isabella and they make up.
C. Isabella bows out of relationship with Gabe
27. EMY IS STOLEN BY DRAKKON
A. Drakkon tracks Emy to farm and steals her, planning to reverse engineer her for the clockwork heart
B. Drakkon starts to take Emy apart.
28. THE RESCUE
A. Isabella frees herself from being tied up by Drakkon’s goons and heads over to tell Leigh about Emy
B. Isabella, Leigh, and Gabe all head out to Drakkon’s lab to save Emy
29. STAGE 1 OF RESCUE
A. Leigh goes in with Gabe to confront Drakkon, finds Emy laying on table not breathing
B. Gabe tries to fight Drakkon while Leigh fixes Emy
C. Drakkon’s goons surround them and offer Leigh a deal
D. Drakkon offers Emy back, the goons have her, in exchange for Leigh’s help as Drakkon doesn’t understand the wiring and circuitry of Emy.
30. STAGE 2 OF RESCUE
A. Leigh agrees, after seeing Isabella in the shadows of the lab, hoping that she has a plan.
B. Isabella goes to the government authorities who have been staking out Drakkon’s lab.
31. ISABELLA’S PLAN
A. Leigh starts buying time by working on Drakkon’s bio-mechanical men
B. Is appalled to find Drakkon has dug up corpses
32. GOVERNMENT AUTHORITIES
A. Isabella spills the beans about Drakkon’s plan and quickly gets the authorities involved.
B. They follow Isabella back to Drakkon’s lab, which is hidden in the basement of his mansion.
33. AUTHORITIES ARRIVE
A. Find Drakkon involved in illegal activity and arrest him for terrorist plans.
B. Get in big discussion about what to do with Leigh as she is able to frankenstein like her father.
C. Ends up offering her a job in the Government research labs upon her completion at Penn U
34. THE ENDING
A. Leigh is given conditions that she must not violate in her time at the university and finally graduates.
B. Gabe proposes to Leigh at an intimate supper.
