First Valentines Day Memory

Prompt: Lyn asked us to talk about our first Valentines Day memory.

I was five and saw cards with red hearts on them and my mother said that they were Valentines. We had a party in Kindergarten and I bought valentines for the other kids and got a lot myself. There was candy, cookies and cake. I thought this was great. I later learned that it was a day of love. I liked that idea. I got valentines from relatives and friends outside of school. Later, I learned you get flowers, chocolates, Teddy Bears and jewelry for Valentines Day. Those were some good times.
