GPS
Now here's another modern technological device that I've barely mastered. But I'd rather use that then ask my iPhone. I can't figure out how to cancel that one or modify the request. It has helped me a few times, but only because I drove around in circles until I figured it out. GPS is a little better than that.

I like that the iPhone can be voice activated, so you don't delay for typing. But it's harder to be sure you have the right place and city. Tomorrow I have to use the GPS because I'm going out of town to a place that I know is confusing. The street I want is a very long street, with access at about 5 points along the Interstate. I can only hope I get there okay.

I have to take a list of phone numbers, since you can't call directory assistance for a cell number. Only businesses and old people still have land lines.

By the time I come into the modern age, everything will be obsolete and replaced by newer gadgets. It's already time to update my phone, so they tell me. I still wish I had a working VCR. In fact I have plenty of videos. At least I didn't do Beta. I don't have a DVR. I can't work the DVD player without messing up the Dish receiver. I have lots of 33 RPM's and no turntable. My dad still has a few 8 tracks.

Oh, well. I guess I can survive without them.
