Prompt: Why do people join groups and then not participate? Is it important to belong to a group for the sake of community whether you are active or not? What do you think is the reason for the non-participation? If your name was removed for non-participation would you inquire why or simply leave things as are?





Well for me the answer is as old as time. I choose real life over this site and its groups every time.





I know I joined a Wodehouse challenge and then real life hit. I chose real life. Now I can't get into Wodehouse no matter what. I'm okay with that. I am used to letting go.





Now when I join groups or activities, I warn that my real life includes some very scary circumstances that must be dealt with. They accept my terms or they don't. We each choose and all is good.





If I joined a group a long time ago, I may have forgotten about it. I don't try to be selfish, I just have to be, real life is more important to me than my virtual life.
