Collection of my unfinished poetry written to daily prompts. |
![]() Event Horizon All night I have been wandering, waiting for a beacon, a lodestar to bring me home. In the howling wind, I hear them. Voices from beyond. They speak to each other in hushed tones, unaware of my existence. Above me lies the vortex, a portal to their dimension. The crashing lightning shows the path and marks the entrance. Entranced, I begin to climb the decaying steps. They crumble beneath my feet, a warning and a dare. What awaits beyond the corridor? What new life lies across the threshold? What adventure is before me? Should I choose to find out? My choice made I scale the mountain, I will never go back I will find those hopeful voices whispering in the wind. I close my eyes and cross into the void. |
