Blog Prompt for February 9, 2015: GAMES - Video Games, Board Games, Parlour Games, What's your pleasure?


Computer games by far. FB Tower Story and Mah Jong. Isn’t that funny? I deliberately choose solo games on FB so that I don’t get hooked into team FB games, now I am on a blogging team. How ironic is that? I get obsessed so fast. The son has a Wii, but whatever -- can take it or leave it.


My favorite board games are Mexican Train, Sequence, and Rummikub. I like these because one is enough. The game time is sooooo long, one is enough.


Parlour games? Don’t like ‘em….not even cards. I make myself scarce when the cards come out.


Now back in the day when there were no computers and board games were too expensive, I loved to play charades … but nobody else did. So that is how I got into writing and reading. The notepad and book could be popped in a bag and pulled out at any time. And even if they were not very good actors, everybody in the family liked playing a role in the skits I wrote.
