The Final Reckoning From dust to ashes Dissolving wishes As one encounters Death and disease. Man realizes The futility of dreams Of endless ambitions Of eternal happiness Are but harbingers Of a more lasting Reality called death. Beautiful body made Of dust turns to ashes On the pyre that burns. The soul, more alive Than before drags its Own heavy yoke of sin and evil to the judgment hall for the final reckoning. lines: 19 |
