Prompt: What is the wackiest most useful advice you had ever received?

My grandmother told me the boyfriend I had was bad and that she had lived along time and knew his type. I didn't believe her. She was right. He was the worst boyfriend ever. He stoled money from me, knocked me down to the floor two times. lied, had other girlfriends and just used me. I wished I would have listened to Grandma in the first place. He was in the Marines and never became a man. It is a wonder that I am still alive. He did drugs and drank, too. What did I ever see in him?
