30 Years Of Love Sonnet

Prompt: Write a sonnet of vows or love.

We have been married thirty years.
We have had happiness and bad times.
You were there to dry my tears.
A wonderful son we did raise.

A hysterectomy, my complicated bowel surgery-
I was on a breathing tube for a week and sleeping,
You never left my side and you had always loved me.
I woke up and had a long journey ahead of me.

Our house burned down and we had to rebuild our life.
We had love, hope, dreams and never gave up. We had each other.
We have had a lot of fun and endured a lot of strife.
I am glad we went through these things together. You are the best.

My Dear, here is to another thirty years. May our life may be better
but we know what doesn't kill us makes us stronger. We will live a little longer.
