Memories intrude
Brief moments of stabbing joy
startling peace
then flooding grief

I'm alone

Sweet memories of sitting with you in my arms
talking
listening
sharing
caring

Quiet memories bring the biggest tears

visions of passion
tear haphazard
ripping my soul

No tears do I dare
Not these memories do I share
You I cannot touch
I am touched always

forever
