| Quote of the day: Silence is one of the hardest arguments to refute. -Josh Billings (1818 - 1885) This quote is so true, indeed. How can one argue with silence? When a confrontation begins between two people, the loser is usually the one who continually adds fuel to the fire with words of hostility. The bigger man is the one who watches the adversary expend his energy, while remaining still and silent. Eventually, the adversary appears to be an unfavorable person, discontent in all his ways. Silence stops the fire. Silence shows the bigger man. Silence is a mystical dagger, invincible, but, oh, so effective. "A Poem A Day Contest " ![]() ** Image ID #1756829 Unavailable ** |
