Day to day stuff....a memoir without order. |
That reminds me of snap, crackle, and pop, but I'm really talking about my left knee. I've only been doing regular stuff around the house until today's trip to the library and grocery store. By the time I got through all those aisles back and forth, I felt like I had a club foot. Looking down I realized not only was my left ankle swelled but I had either tied my shoestring too tight or my foot was swelled as well. When I got home and took off my shoe, it didn't look as bad as it felt...soooo maybe a lot of it is in my imagination (and here I thought I didn't have any). Carrying a grocery bag (the cloth store kind) with a gallon of milk, a bag of apples, and numerous other sundries did not help either, I'm sure. I can tell by what I'm writing the popping noise is getting stressful....![]() For those who remember, every morning I'm at the computer at 9 loading up my stock page, hoping to make a few bucks day trading. After turning on the computer, my next step is to turn on the tv to CNBC. This morning was a real shocker. Mark Haines, the anchor for the last 22 or 23 years for Squawk on the Street, died last night. He was only 65, a year younger then I am. No reason has been given, yet, that I know of, just that he died at home yesterday evening. I have been watching him for almost twenty years. It's like losing a good and trusted friend. I will certainly miss him, and I know thousands, maybe millions, of others will, too.... ![]() I watched Dancing With the Stars last night (I had to, I've been cheering on Kirstie Alley from the beginning many moons ago). Up until the very last moment, I though she might win...she came in second...but she is a real winner in my book, anyway. She lost a bunch of weight, and she is sixty years old, and she is not a quitter. Amazing! until next time...c |
