Editing...
I did some editing today on my "Anna" serial that I started way back when. "Anna" is 72 and I'm hoping I'm in as good shape as she is (as I'm making her, that is) when I get there. It's funny how, after letting some time pass, it's much easier to add to or change things in a story you've written...almost as though someone else wrote it. When I write and try to edit immediately, I get so disgusted, I give up...quickly. But Anna seems somehow fresher now and just may turn into something. I'd like to continue on with her. Her life doesn't end just because she found Buddy.

We've only had one assignment in the character class and it's been a week now. I'm anxious for another. My classmates are all well educated and well read. In just one week I have learned a lot from them. The last lesson was to tell about your favorite character, why and how the author did it. I wrote about the first one to pop into my head....Harry Potter. How Rowling did it is the real question. I don't even like fantasy....*Rolleyes*. I felt such sympathy toward Harry from the beginning, I had to read all seven books to make sure his life turned out okay.

If it wasn't so hot here, I might consider going to the Windsor Zucchini Festival tomorrow, but I think I'd pass out. Next weekend is the Newberry Watermelon Festival. It's too bad it takes hot weather for these things to get ripe...*Laugh*. I don't know how they got ripe anyway with no rain.

Hubby's birthday is Monday so Sunday I'm making a cake...applesauce spice, his favorite. And our daughter is sending him an "edible arrangement". He will love that because he is a fruit fanatic. It's a surprise. Our granddaughter from down south is supposed to visit for dinner and dessert.

It is hard to believe but no one has moved in across the street yet. Several lookers but no takers. I can't say it makes me unhappy...*Wink*.

Our neighbors' little baby is soooo cute...and growing like the proverbial weed. She is the best baby ever...I've never heard her cry...Kaitlyn...not sure if I spelled that right. And Mia is the perfect big sister, always talking to her, asking if she's all right, telling her she's right there. It's so cute.....*Smile*

until next time....c
