Day to day stuff....a memoir without order. |
After my biweekly trip to the library, I stopped by the grocery store for a couple of things. Getting out and looking toward the store, I noticed a small bus and a huge crowd at the front. The majority of the people were in wheelchairs with bags of groceries on their laps. Others were pushing walkers with bags of groceries setting on them. In big letters on the side of the bus it read..."The Village". A gentleman, the bus driver I presume, was systematically loading groceries and people into the bus. I guess I had never been to the store at this particular time before. If I ever have to move to assisted living, I guess this is what I can look forward to. Although it didn't look too bad, it did sort of take the wind out of my sails, if you know what I mean....![]() I think soon I will have gotten every movie in the library. I'm not even recognising titles anymore...whether I've gotten them before or not. But Jim hardly ever complains and is becoming a real movie connoisseur (okay, I admit I could not spell that and had to look it up). He tells me all about all the good ones...and then says I should watch them. Really? Why? Now I know the whole story. But that's okay, I wouldn't watch anyway. I'd much rather be reading or typing... ![]() until next time....c |
