Getting closer...

May 6th, the frist day of my character class, draws nigh. All my classmates, excepting two, shared the Cache Class with me so I'm feeling right at home already. The reading list for the first lesson sounds interesting....Gone With the Wind, Lord of the Rings, Legend of Sleepy Hollow, and Goodman Brown...familiar with all but Goodman Brown by Hawthorne. I got it from the library and read it last night (you can pull it up online, also...it's a short story). Very strong characters (of course) in all of them.

On a non-studious note, I've been wanting to make new pillowcases for the extra pillows on my bed so I googled and found this, http://www.allpeoplequilt.com/millionpillowcases/instructions/RollItUp.pdf, a real treasure...a two-color pillowcase with NO visible seams. How cool is that? And easy!

Diane's Sunrise Class is huge this semester and there is a reason why. Yes, you guessed it. Diverse in nationality, age, education, and gender, I feel lucky to be a part of it if only in a small way. Diane asked me to assist her a couple of weeks ago, and I am more than happy to oblige in any way possible...only light lifting, though, I'm certain...lol.

The Active Writer's Group is growing by leaps and bounds, so fast the group is considering a member limit, soon to be reached at the pace it's growing. I feel lucky to have chanced onto such a knowledgeable group of writers.

Well, I have been trying to edge the front yard all day. In this heat (91 F) it is 15 on and 15 off, minutes, that is. And I have been off more than that this time so....
