Day to day stuff....a memoir without order. |
Someone on the street behind us is getting a new roof put on. They are tap tap tapping....all day. Mopsy keeps going out on the porch looking around then racing back in, afraid of the noise. She'll probably get used to it when they are finished. It's perfect weather for a new roof, bright and sunny but not too hot. Bet they get a sunburn, though. I overdid it yesterday on some more yardwork (trimming shrubs) and paid for it last night, five hours sleep at most. My arms were still trembling this morning as I lifted my coffee cup. Getting old is definitely hell. I can't remember having this problem last year. Jim has labwork today and pt tomorrow so we will be out and about again. My last two tomato plants are getting humongous. I have to set them out this weekend. The one I did set out is growing but got stunted some by a chilly night we had just afterwards. The Kanapaha Spring Garden Festival is Saturday. We always enjoy that, local plants for sale and even some exotics, but the best part is just looking at the beautiful blooms. Gainesville is a nice place to live even without the ocean. I am coming up on my last week of the Cache Class. We are to review a couple of our peers short stories, applying all we have learned. It has been a great class but the more I learn, the harder it is to write. Does that make sense? Maybe I am learning too much...haha.... until next time....c |
