Patience? I think not.

Baseball season is in full swing, the Grapefruit League, that is. The Phillies have played a few games now at their Bright House Network Field in Clearwater. Someone said baseball fans are the personification of patience. We may look calm on the outside, but, inside, we are a jumble of tension and nerves. We are the epitome of the love/hate relationship, loving our heroes when they play well and calling them dirt bags and other non-mentionable names when they do not.

Jim and I have gone to several games in Clearwater when it was the old Jack Russell Stadium. It is so much better than going to a “real game”. The players seem right at your fingertips with the stadiums only holding eight or nine thousand people. Even though the games don’t count, they are a good prelude for what is to come. The players are friendlier without the stress and if you are in the right place at the right time, you can even catch a “Hi, how you?”

I am still on a mystery binge, just finished one last night, but I am getting a little bored with them. Osmosis is not working. Our Cache Class instructor recommended a book, When the Emperor Was Divine, which I picked up at the library yesterday and read a few pages of last night until I could not hold my eyes open anymore. I think I am going to enjoy it though.

I received some good suggestions in a review recently and am working (reworking, I should say) my “rooster” story, hoping to submit it to an ezine soon. As I’m sure everyone else knows, there are some very knowledgeable people on this site. I just hope I am up to the task.

Well…Jim has to go for lab work again today…so…
