Who could not love spring?
Looking ahead on my calendar for March, I see some interesting things happening around town…an India Fest on the 19th, a Spring Garden Festival on the 26th, and the week of the 13th to 19th is National Wildlife Week with a St. Patty’s Day celebration in the middle.

Our azaleas are blooming, my lilies are growing tall, and the dogwood blooms are starting to come out. This is the most beautiful time in my town.

We had a nice rainstorm last night just after midnight. The birds were so happy they woke me early with their chirping and singing. I’ve seen bees and wasps and heard the sand hill cranes flying overhead to Payne’s Prairie. Time to grab the binoculars and take that lawn chair outside.

I got to wondering yesterday about how many authors might be from my old home State of Delaware so I looked it up, and there are quite a few. The one that appealed to me the most was a lady named Fay Jacobs. The titles of her books were what pulled me in…As I Lay Frying, For Frying Out Loud, and Fried and True Tales from Rehoboth Beach. Yes, I know all about frying at Rehoboth Beach…will have to check those out.

Well, it’s too nice outside to keep on typing so….

Until next time….c
