Hard to believe..

It's hard to believe it is so warm here and so cold in the rest of the country. Even though it is rainy, I am very thankful to be able to go outside in my short sleeves.

My Jim has a doctor's appointment and labwork this afternoon, all just routine. Everything seems to be going along well for him these days, healthwise, which is great.

I just looked at my tomato seeds and believe it or not, it looks like every one is sprouting! It has only been five days....unbelievable. I can almost smell that green vine scent now....

The stock market certainly has a short attention span, a huge down day on Friday due to Egypt and a huge up day yesterday due to whatever, who knows? This morning according to news I have watched the anger seems to have shifted to those pro and anti Mubarek whereas last week all the protestors were calling for him to step down. I wonder what happened? Obviously, the market is as confused as I am from the reaction this morning. I am very cautious about my buys as usual, maybe too cautious, but I would rather be safe than sorry. If there is anything the market does not like, it is indecision.

Did anyone watch the recent Oprah vegan show? Some very interesting comments to make all of us more aware of the suffering of animals. Less meat is definitely going to be on my plate in the future but I don't think I could go cold turkey. (That was not meant to be funny!) According to the info given, it could all lead to good things...weight loss, better colon health, lower blood pressure and cholesterol...not to mention the boon to the animals. I guess I need those selfish reasons....
