Unable to sleep last night...

...for some unknown reason other than the fact that it was so cold. Normally, I cannot sleep with the heat on but last night I guess it was too cold to sleep with it off. I finally made myself get up at 5:30 and turn it on. Just as I got comfy and was falling into dreamland...it was time to get up! I'm digging out Grandmom's quilt today and it's going on the bed!

I have been sort of out of it all day due to lack of sleep, but I did manage to write a story for the "Daily Flash Fiction Challenge" . The three word prompt just sort of clicked in my brain. I read about a sentimental picture journal somewhere and the three words just materialized a story, completely fictional.

I watched the movie, "The Joy Luck Club" last night (from the library). Maybe that was part of the reason I could not sleep. I got such a lump in my throat at the ending it was painful. For some reason the book did not affect me that way although it was very sad. I guess it was the way the twins looked at June and then how they hugged and hugged. OMG, my eyes are welling up just thinking about it. That Amy Tan is a good author, but whoever the director was really took it and ran with it. I don't think I ever thought a movie was better than the book before.

Okay, meditating for warmer weather now....
