Enough rain already...

It has been raining off and on all day today. Since it's "trash" day, I've been out in it picking up fallen, waterlogged, dead pine branches for the stickman, as I like to call him. The pileated woodpeckers are finally gone and have cleaned out some dead wood for me to gather and get rid of, too. Good exercise for me, though, and it was nice and quiet. Brown pine needles are again covering our still slightly green grass in the backyard but the front yard is all brown grass. Funny how there can be temperature differences in two areas so close together.

I've been doing some research on tarot cards, their origins and meanings. Someone on the site mentioned another member had done a reading for them so I looked them up, paid the gps and requested a reading for myself. My gps were returned with no message whatsoever. So now of course my curiosity is peaked and I have to research it myself. I ordered a set of cards through Amazon and they came in the mail today. Sunday at the library I checked out an interesting looking book on the tarot so....I'm all set. Oh, and I signed up on a site...tarot.com...got a free three card reading and my daily horoscope by email and more information about tarot than I could possibly read in a month! It all sounds like good fodder for a story.

I watched the first episode (of three total I think) of Downton Abbey on PBS last night at 9. I love the British series they show. It's been a long time since they've had a good one. I wish they would bring back the Jane Austin series. I've recently read two P.D. James mysteries and just happened to spy one of the Dalgliesh BBC movies at the library...not one I've read. So I have lots of reading and watching materials.

And my Cache Class continues to amaze me by how great it is going. As my friend "At The Home" says...life is good...
