Day to day stuff....a memoir without order. |
with all the news on tv about the Tucson shootings. The aide to Ms. Giffords, who had been in that position only five days, is a real hero in my book. He is twenty years old and the shooter is twenty-two, yet two very different people. The aide actually ran toward the gunfire to help Ms. Giffords. I know I would not have been able to do that. What is it that makes one person try to save life and another try to destroy it? Some of us write stories about murders and murderers, but who can understand them? And is there any compassion for the shooter? No yet...not from me. I could care less what his problems are....but his parents, that's another story. Can you imagine what they are feeling...watching tv...and it's their son? My prayers are with all the victims including the shooter's parents. My Cache Class is going even better than expected. Interaction between the students has been stupendous and the first lesson has me really thinking and excited. Aptly named, Cache, I hope to emerge with a cache of all the tools I need to write great stories. Our weather was in the 50's today but tomorrow we'll be in the 70's as an actual snowstorm moves across the south (as far south as Atlanta). Weird weather but I won't knock it. Well, I've got some homework to do so... until next time.....c |
