A good friend gone from the site...

Mystic_Writer left the site yesterday very suddenly. Luckily, I found out just in time to say "goodbye". The "Let the Dance Begin" sig that graces my blog was made by Myst and gifted to me by another friend. She is a very talented writer and will be greatly missed. I hope she is able to rearrange her life and someday come back to us. Her work with the Paper Doll Gang and the Rising Stars will leave a sad empty hole.

I have finished reviewing my "Invalid Item"  December entries and will soon come to a decision on the winners, the last winners for the time being. I've decided to close the contest for awhile in order to devote my full attention to my Cache Class. It's not that the contest takes a whole lot of my time...just that things waiting to be done nag at me and tend to disrupt my concentration. I want to know I have done my best. If I keep the contest going, I don't think I would do my best at either one. I plan to re-open Stories of the Sea in a couple of months.

We have a murder mystery going on in my town. A 21 year old female student's body was found by the side of a road just north of the city. The body was burned but according to what I have read and heard, apparently a fire was started after the death. She was a cheerleader and from all reports, well liked by everyone. I'll update as clues are gathered and given to the news media.

Without anything very interesting on tv between 7 and 8, I have sunken to my lowest level yet. I'm watching "Two and A Half Men"reruns. OMG....and I am laughing my .....off! Who knew that show was so funny! Then, tonight after that, it was Paula Abdul's new show, and one of the second contestants was an eighty some year old lady...who could do pushups as well as dance All three judges gave them the go ahead. What is this world coming to? We are being taken over by gray headed people! Yea.....
