Frigid here this morning!

I cannot get used to the cold weather. I guess it is because one day it is warn and the next is cold. A lone azealea out beside the birdbath is hanging onto its pretty pink blooms, but I fear not for much longer.

Christmas lights are going up in our development getting me in the Christmasy mood and the cold weather is helping as well. Knitting is a great preoccupation at this time, picking up things I did not finish last year. You just cannot knit when the weather is hot. All our grass has turned brown from the couple of frosts we have had. It looks so forlorn, but the live oaks and pines keep things looking green at eye level. The two pileated woodpeckers have continued to hang around this year, I'm not sure why. Usually, they disappear in a few days.

Google ebooks launched in the States today. The news says they are the largest ebook seller now with a humongous amount of free downloads....hmmmm.
