Just this and that...

It seems a little quiet around here, wdc that is, or maybe it's just me. I had an email today saying the New Horizon's Writing Academy will open registation on Dec. 6th for the Winter Session. I cannot say enough good things about them...great instructors, special one-on-one attention with all the help you could ask for, and courses that teach things you will actually use in your everyday writing, editing, and reviewing. My Gators have just lost another game to FSU, 31-7, with only 64 passing yards for the orange and blue today...so sad. Turnovers killed us, as usual.

My turkey day leftovers are all gone, can't say I'm sad about that...except I still have pumpkin pie. It doesn't even sound appetizing. I just cleaned out the fridge and chucked everything that remotely resembled the gobbler. Three days is enough. I'm ready for pizza, salad and a beer...yeah!

I found the most helpful article (here on wdc) for anyone having trouble formatting a story for submission "Invalid Item" . I am self-taught on Word and the teacher is slightly dense so this article is just what the doctor ordered for me. I saved it to my favorites and having used it for three stories, I almost have it down pat. I'm wondering if I should copy it to Word...just in case the author deletes her port. Is that illegal? The instructions are perfect. The only thing left out was paragraph indention, but even my feeble brain figured that out.

I got started on my Christmas shopping yesterday, online. I do not intend to set foot inside any real store this year. It's just too hectic, and the internet is so easy. Our children and grandchildren do not live close by, and shopping on the net is a godsend. When I think of the way things used to be and how convenient and easy everything is now, I wonder what it will be like for my grandkids when they are my age. It's hard to imagine, but wouldn't you like to be around to see? I wonder if there's an app for that? LOL

I still have my Rising Star reviews to do for this month so I will end this chatter for tonight and get busy...
