Day to day stuff....a memoir without order. |
I've not written in here since the 15th. Jim is doing much better today...not feeling sick at all. I am so glad because he has a doctor's app't tomorrow and labwork. When I went to the mailbox today, my neighbor came over and was telling me how he was power washing the outside of his house, getting ready to paint. Then...he said he had lost his job! I couldn't believe it. I thought things were getting better, but when you are retired one tends to be out of the loop, I guess. He's in marketing and also does web design. He worked for a private gas company, Infinite Energy. Then, on top of that, he told me his wife is expecting (their second) and will find out tomorrow if it's a boy or girl. I felt like crying right there. He said if he didn't find something soon, they may have to move in with her parents and rent the house. They are the best neighbors we have ever had. Please let xomething turn up for him! On a happier note, Amber and I finished our entries to our campfire this morning. I think it is rather good...hope the judges see it that way ![]() I made my flu shot appointment...Monday at 1 at CVS. No problem at all and they accept Medicare. This will be the first one I've ever had. The stock market has been taking a tumble the last few days. I am waiting for it to get back to where I bought in last Friday...getting close. If I have to hold it, I will get a dividend, so I'm not worried about it. That's the good thing about only playing electric utilities. The news from my neightbor today, though, is making me listen more intently to the bears. Happy sixth wdc anniversary, Brooke.... Until next time........c |
