And my submission to Flash Magazine, The Rock, is being considered for their 1/1/2011 publication... Things are looking up, writingwise!

Yesterday was a bummer though. We have a neighbor behind us with whom we share a wood privacy fence. About three months ago they got a dog...you know what's coming, right? Yes, the dog barks incessantly. Oh, oh, one of those ly words. It has been difficult to enjoy our backporch with the yelping mutt fifty feet away. So...reaching the boiling point yesterday evening, my husband called the sheriff's office and a patrolman visited them. They are renters. Silence is so golden. I'm wondering how long it will last and will there be retaliation? I hate that it was necessary to resort to such measures. I'm sure they love their new pet as much as I love Mopsy, and they have just as much right to have a pet as we do, but we all need to be considerate of each other. Anyway, I was so upset about it last night, I couldn't write anything....hmm.

The market is up bigtime today for no explainable reason, a perfect day to sit on the sidelines which is what I am doing. I never buy unless it is down...just watching today. Now that the elections and the FOMC meeting are over, everything is known for awhile, nothing is a rumor, things will settle down soon.

Just sitting here thinking of when my kids were little and when I was little....nothing is sweeter than one hand in another.........till next time.....c
