Silly Daddy

(Daddy) Once upon a time.. there was a beautiful lady, who wanted to be happy.
She lived far away, in a land where it was very cold.
She was sad and lonely.
When she wanted to be happy, she would sit on her Magic Carpet.
And she would make a wish

(Hayley) – oohh.. what was the magic word daddy?

(Daddy) The Magic word she said was……………………… ‘CATINTHEHAT’.. can you say that?

(Hayley) – CATHAT…

(Daddy) close enough…
So… when she wanted to be happy, she would sit on her magic carpet (outside) and dream of the happiness that she saw in the stars and in the face of the moon… Did you know there was a face in the moon?.. let me show you a picture of the moon…

(Daddy brings up a photo of the moon on his computer, with the dark areas highlighted, where she can see the ‘face’…)

(Hayley) Daddy, I see the face!!!...

(Daddy)… yes.. I see it too!...its right there..

So.. as I was saying… when the beautiful lady wanted to be happy, she would sit on her magic carpet, and dream of the future that she saw in the stars and the face of the moon. She dreamed of a prince that would come and sweep her off her feet and marry her forever, happily ever after.
One night, as she was thinking of happiness, she wished extra special hard for her prince to come. She said the magic word; over and over again… do you remember it?

(Hayley) CATduHAT…

(Daddy) close enough…
So she said the magic word, and her prince arrived!!!... and he jumped on the magic carpet with her, and off to the happiest land in the world they went.

(Hayley) – That’s a funny story, Daddy…..

(Daddy) – Why?

(Hayley) – I dunno….
Daddy?...
(Daddy) – yes, Hayley…

(Hayley) – carpets can’t fly… that’s silly.

(Daddy) – well, magic ones do…

(Hayley) – Oh…..
Daddy?....

(Daddy) – yes, Hayley…

(Hayley) – Can we get a magic carpet?

(Daddy) – we already have one.. haven’t you seen it?

(Hayley) – (laughing..) silly, Daddy……
