First Story!

So, I'm excited! I actually wrote a story, a complete story. This is the first thing I've written in about three years and the second story ever attempted. I know it's not all great, maybe not even that good, but I'm elated because I finally created something. I'm even more excited because it's totally different from anything I would have attempted previously. I wrote it for a contest on another site using a picture prompt.

I'm dying to get reviews on this thing to see where I stand on the whole story-writing thing. I don't care about ratings, just reviews, critiques. So, if anyone reads this and has a few minutes, check it out maybe? ;)
