I was hungry. When I licked my fur, I could feel my ribs under my tongue. The two girls, who were the last ones to feed me, were gone. I felt the emptiness of the house when I sat on the front step.

But all was not hopeless. A couple of humans moved into the house next door. Now, if I could convince them to feed me, I would have it made.

I tried to catch a lizard today, but I am too weak and slow. Just gotta get some food.
