It’s a Good
Thing I Didn’t…

…post my latest WDC Short Story yesterday when I thought it was ready to be posted, because it wasn’t. After all, when I went in today to post it, it had reverted back to the no Indentation problem. I still don’t know why or how it did that. The last time I saw this WDC Short Story, I was ready for me to enter the WDC Short Story Contest for this month.

I didn’t know what to do. So, I went back to trying to make these indented paragraphs right with the new WDC formatting, but I couldn’t do it. No matter how I tried, I couldn’t indent it, or I indented it twice. What was I supposed to do? I was about to accept my not being able to indent my short stories anymore, when I saw the Settings Icon.

After going into the Settings Icon, I found out I could go back to the old WDC formatting. Unfortunately, I still had problems with the old WDC formatting. My main problem was still the indenting of my paragraphs. I tried to use the Indent Icon to indent my paragraphs, but that didn’t work. So, I went back to my old way with five ‘space’ icons.

That solved my indenting problem, but I still had another problem: making my WDC creations look like my Microsoft Word documents. I tried to use my 16pt size, which was my new WDC formatting, but that didn’t work. So, I diverted back to my old size five WDC formatting. That helped some, but it still wasn’t quite right. What was I going to do now?

The only thing that I could think of to do now was to change the width in my My Account. I tried several different ways to change the outcome of this problem. None of them worked. Most of them, if not all, resulted in the same thing as before. What was I going to do now? That’s when I started looking at my other ‘My Account’ settings.

That’s what changed this WDC Short Story to match my WDC documents with my Microsoft Word Documents. I changed the 800 by 640? To the 1024 by 796? Setting. I’m not sure about these last two settings without going into ‘My Account’ to know if I’m right about these Settings. That’s why I put question marks after these Settings.

Whatever these Settings are now, it’s what changed my WDC documents with my Microsoft Word Documents. At least it did for the one hundred to one hundred and twenty-five percent. Anything above the one hundred and twenty-five percent range didn’t. I think that most readers and reviewers keep it between one hundred and one hundred and twenty-five percent.

I don’t know how long this will last, but I hope that I have found my solution to my indenting problem and my matchup for my WDC documents versus my Microsoft Word Documents. Only time will tell if this is my solution to these problems. Unfortunately, it took me most of today to figure out these problems, but I did finally enter this contest.

I’m still not sure how this old WDC formatting will affect my scriptwriting projects. I shouldn’t have any problems with my paragraph Story and Scene Outlines, but I probably will with my scripts. Especially with adding Icon Spaces to my dialogue quotations, my (Character Directions), and my Character Names. They will take time for me to do them.
