There is a lot within me Other Than Scriptwriting. This blog is devoted to those stories.

Three and a Half Hours
Three and a Half Hours

Unfortunately, I only got two more Sections/Parts for my latest WDC Short Story Written today, but I only had about three and a half hours to write these two Parts/Sections, or about an hour and forty-five minutes to write each one of these Sections/Parts. That’s very good writing. At least it is for me. Why didn’t I get more written today?

This WDC Short Story is somewhat written itself. I’m doing the typing, but my fingers are writing this WDC Short Story. Once I start writing a Part/Section, I can’t stop writing until I finish it. Well, that isn’t exactly true. I have stopped writing a Section/Part, but it isn’t because of the writing process. It’s because of my Personal Rules.

What are my Personal Rules? I have three Personal Rules right now. One of these Personal Rules is not starting a new paragraph with the same word or words. There needs to be at least two paragraphs or sentences between these paragraphs and sentences before I use the same word or words again. Sometimes that’s not easy to do, especially with sentences.

Another Personal Rule is the five characters or fewer that end a line in a paragraph. I don’t like to have six or more characters ending a line. It makes it jagged at the end of these lines. Of course, I know these lines are supposed to be jagged at the end, but the more jagged they are, the worse it looks. At least that’s the way that I feel.

Sometimes I have problems keeping these lines under five characters long, especially if the words I’m writing are longer than these five characters, and I have a lot of them. Some of my words are ten or more characters long. These words are especially hard for me to write within these paragraphs, so one of them is more than five characters.

My third Personal Rule right now is the new WDC formatting rules. I like that they have adapted Microsoft Word, but their formatting is a little different from Microsoft Word, especially their Font Size. That was kind of hard to adjust to, but I think that I have done it. At least I have for these blog entries. I’m not sure about my other writing yet.

Part of this new WDC formatting problem for me is indenting. I don’t have a problem with indenting paragraphs in these blog entries and my scriptwriting projects because I don’t use indenting with my blog entries and my scriptwriting projects, but I do use this indenting with my short stories. I’m not sure if I have that figured out yet.

What do my Personal Rules hangups have to do with my latest WDC Short Story Project? It means that I still have two more Parts/Sections left to write before I finish writing this WDC Short Story. Normally, I would have a problem with that because I will be returning to work tomorrow for my first twelve-hour shift, but that isn’t a problem anymore.

I still have one problem finishing this WDC Short Story tomorrow. My problem is whether I should create it and post it to this contest tomorrow. There isn’t a problem whether I should create it tomorrow. It’s the posting of it that may be a problem, especially if I’m right about not posting my WDC Short Story last month, which I think I didn’t do.
