Another Two More Today

I’m starting to feel a lot better now that my brother and I have officially moved into our new place. Of course, we still have a lot of sorting that needs to be done, including what we have piled up in our garage. We think it’s going to take us about two weeks before we get the garage done. I think it will take us longer than that.

Especially, since we don’t work on it except for a few hours a day. A few hours that cut into my writing. Right now, that writing is my latest WDC Short Story for this month. I only had a few hours today to work on this WDC Short Story. As a result, I only got two more Sections/Parts of this WDC Short Story written today, Part Five and Section Six.

Section Five of this WDC Short Story ended the first half of this WDC Short Story. It was more action-oriented than the first four Parts/Sections were. That took me a little bit more time for me to write this Section/Part. Even after I finished this Section Five, I wasn’t finished with this half of this WDC Short Story. I had one more thing I had to do.

I still had to add up the word count for it. Unfortunately, these first five Parts/Sections didn’t add up to slightly under a thousand words. That meant that I needed to update Section Five. It wasn’t as hard as I thought it would be, or as hard as it usually is to update it. I had some problems updating Section Five, but not as bad as usual.

Part Six of this WDC Short Story is somewhat of an aftermath of Section Five. As a result, it didn’t take me as long to write it as it did Section Five. It wasn’t action-oriented like Section Five, but there was a lot of Drama associated with it. As a result, there was also only a little dialogue in Part Six. It wasn’t just the aftermath of Section Five.

Section Five, Part Six, and Section Seven takes place in the past for this WDC Short Story. That’s not all, though. Part Sox leads into Section Seven somewhat. After all, Section Seven leads into the last three Sections/Parts of this WDC Short Story. It also leads into the ‘absolute lowest point’ theme of this prompt for this WDC Short Story Contest.

What does all this ranting and raving writing have to do with this WDC Short Story? It means that I only have four more Parts/Sections left before I finish writing this WDC Short Story. Will I get these last four Sections/Parts done by the end of this week? If I say by the end of the weekend, the answer is yes, but if I mean by Friday, it’s no.

That’s one of the reasons I’m so happy that I’m no longer working at my last post. It means I don’t have to get this WDC Short Story finished before the end of Friday. I may get two or three Parts/Sections written tomorrow, but it’s very unlikely that I will get all four Sections/Parts finished by Friday. That’s usually a bad thing for me, but not anymore.

The bad news is it’s unlikely that I will get these four Parts/Sections written tomorrow, but the good news is that I won’t be working on it the first part of my Saturday/Sunday twelve-hour shift because I am no longer at that post now. Unfortunately, I’m not working anywhere else right now. So, I have all weekend to finish writing this WDC Short Story.
