There is a lot within me Other Than Scriptwriting. This blog is devoted to those stories. |
The Setup Plus Two Despite only having a few hours today to work on my latest WDC Short Story, I got a lot of it accomplished today. Not only didn’t I finish setting up this WDC Short Story, but I got the sentences written for my Sections/Parts and the first two Parts/Sections written for this WDC Short Story. It wasn’t easy to accomplish, though. After all, I only had about five hours to work on it today. That wasn’t my only problem. I also had a lot of problems keeping my lines in my paragraphs to within five characters at the end of them. It didn’t matter with my setup of this Short Story, but it did with these Sections/Parts. I know that my five characters at the end of my lines are just the way that I like to write, but that’s who I am. It’s like me not wanting to start two paragraphs or sentences with the same words. The same is true about the second word in each paragraph or sentence being the same. Of course, I have written several short stories where the same word or words start one paragraph or sentence after another, but I haven’t liked those short stories. I only tried to do it like every other writer on WDC because of the reviews, comments, and criticism that I have gotten from other writers, but that’s not me either. It hasn’t been easy living up to the new WDC format, but I think that I’m getting the hang of it. At least I am when it comes to these blog entries. After all, they are like my scriptwriting projects. I don’t indent my paragraphs, but I do indent them with my short stories. I don’t know how this indenting process will work for this Short Story and future short stories. After all, I thought that I had it working with my second Short Story from last month, and it didn’t work out that way. It ended up looking like my scriptwriting projects. Unfortunately, I was too late in fixing it before I posted it to that contest. Hopefully, I will get it worked out before I post my latest WDC Short Story. I think that I can do it. After all, I have done it with these blog entries. Of course, they’re slightly different because there is no indenting of them, but the concept is the same. The only difference is the indenting. What do all these formatting problems have to do with my latest WDC Short Story? It means that it may take me longer to write my Parts/Sections paragraphs because of the five-characters or less at the end of line rule I have imposed on myself. I may also have a problem with the indenting problem that I have, but I don’t have to worry about that right now. With the two Sections/Parts that I have written so far for this WDC Short Story, it also means I still have eight more Parts/Sections left to write before I’m finished writing it. Unfortunately, I don’t know how soon I will have it done. Hopefully, it will be by the end of this week. Will I get this WDC Short Story finished by this Friday? A lot of that depends on what my brother and I need to get done in the next three days. We have finished with the move to our new place physically, but we still have a lot of moving left to do at our new place. Unfortunately, I don’t know how long that will take to accomplish. It’s not only the moving within that we still need to do, though. My brother and I have other things we must do before the end of this week, aka this Friday. Depending on how long it takes for us to accomplish everything we need to do, I may not get this WDC Short Story done by this Friday. |
