Two hundred twenty five words due today. I have not gotten any inspiration from the newsfeed. Damn I just exhausted everything that I can think of to write. Twenty eight words down, I have nothing left to say today. Two hundred words, it is the mountain ahead of me. I have to climb it to keep up the streak. Words are hard to find. Thoughts are as difficult to herd as the proverbial cats. Why herd cats anyway? They are not inclined to form a herd or a pack. Dogs do packs, they like to herd other creatures, including humans when we let them. They can be so good with babies, placing themselves between a child and harm. I have seen reels of dogs throwing themselves over babies when an earthquake starts or a shelf is about to fall on them. They block babies from messing around with stairs. I like dogs better than cats. Cats rarely show themselves to be useful. Okay they do catch mice and other vermin invading the household. But that really seems to have more to do with their stomachs than any altruistic care for the household. Some rare cats show themselves to care but most of them keep up the airs of aloof disinterest. Dogs are built to be compatible with humans. We have depended on each other since the dawn of civilization. Cats not so much
