Old Ricco

Old Ricco's evolution from rancher
to hermit was thought odd but accepted.
He was rarely seen, though a neighbor
let him use an old camp trailer
when needed. It had power and heat.
In return Ricco would leave a thank you,
a cord of split wood, repaired fence,
once, a dressed out cat in the fridge.
