Journal entry 3
Wdnesday 1/7: Saw my peer support, Laura, and we went to coffee. It was great. We caught up on the holidays (we hadn't talked since Thanksgiving) and I told her a couple of my concerns. I really need to get some help handling my finances. It has gotten really close to not being able to make my rent the past couple of months. I just want to talk to the person first about what I need and what they have to do (I don't want them doing stuff like putting money toward paying student loans and past hospital bills).

Thursday 1/8; Went for lab work in the morning. They said my blood was low but not low enough to warrant a transfusion. They gave me another appointment for lab work again next week, but apparently none of the printers worked and no one knew how to write it down for me. If I miss it because I don't know when it is, that is on them. they even rushed me out so I didn't have the chance to write it down myself.
Afternoon Melissa, my new case worker, picked me up and took me to CMH for our appointment. That meeting was awesome!!! We have so much in common. I gave her a couple of the essays I had printed off from my portfolio here on WdC. She was very interested in WdC, and even went there on her computer to glance at it. She told me she was going to check it out more in her spare time... Then we got into what we are reading. I turned her on to Lawrence Block (fiction and non-fiction), Dean Koontz and Laurell K Hamilton. She looked up what was available at the library even...
I just hope she's not just blowing smoke up my ass. She seems genuine.
She inspired me so much that I rewrote, retyped, and put my second "The Bradbury" story in my blog here. That felt good.

Friday 1/9: I slept all morning. I don't know why because I slept good last night. i decided not to reformat my story from yesterday. They just are not giving me any motivation really. in their defense, they do have a disclaimer that states you aren't guaranteed to be reviewed and such. Still you expect certain things when there are judges. oh well. I don't know yet what I'm going to do for the rest of the day. I have an inkling to work on week 3 story. I also want to do some reading. Terry and I are possibly going to spend some time in the living room together. Just going to go with the flow today.

Merry Meet and Blessed Be
then Merry Meet again!
