Giving Thanks
Day 3995

I Give Thanks for,

I will list and then pick one:

1. My home that I have plenty of room.
2. My education that I put to use each day.
3. My computer that is a technology miracle.
4. My husband who is a man who keeps his word.
5. My 5 senses and good health. I don't think I could be without any of them or even one.
6. My job as a teacher which allowed me to help some hearing impaired students to become great people/adults.
7. My writings of poems, short stories and quips.
8. My knowledge of science and medicine that allows me to help others and keep my body working as it should.
9. My Savior, Jesus who lead me to stronger faith and Christianity.
10. My wonderful pets, who became my best friends and family when I was alone.

These are not in any particular order. As you can see I am thankful for much. As one article in this post reminds us of the benefits of writing. So true! And without education, I would not have taken care of myself or my husband. My religion through faith is what I try to embellish by the religious books, and Bible I read.
But the one thing I feel was truly special was my wonderful pets. I have had cats and dogs. I took squirrels and baby birds to a rehabilitation center. I even found a ferret who later was adopted by a person who wanted it to catch and kill mice that was eating his country's grain. I even had a crayfish who was a classroom pet. HIs little 'feed me time' pincher signal was so sweet.
And I think, if people would be kind to animals as special friends or even family, they would feel better too.
Animals take the blame for many things. They have no voice when people use them for experiments. They do jobs for police and military that make them heroes. I give thanks for animals, especially my pets. When they cross that Rainbow Bridge, they take a part of me. I hope that I see them again in the future.
