Since being dogless after so many years after our beautiful Lucy’s death earlier this year, I’ve discovered many things.

I miss her, but not her hair.
I miss her but not her dirty footprints.
I miss her but not her doggy slime art all over the glass door.
I miss her being one step behind me all the time.
I miss her nudging me for a piece of meat or asparagus! when I’m cooking.
I miss having her to talk to
I miss our walks together
I miss her keeping the bandicoots out of my garden.

I just miss her.
