What Is Before Me
(PPC6 Prompt 6)

What Are my Possibilities
Alone again after 47 years
of friendship
Closeness
Walking a line
Possibilities seem to be
Down the highway now
There is a road that leads me
West of all places
My homeland which I will
Bypass no stopping to gawk
They leveled the old
Homestead, what is the use
Not where I met her
That road is blocked forever
But is there another
After so many years
Am I used up nothing much
to look at or to offer
I can never say I didn't have it all
because future love of my life
I have lived in the Goodness of God
having it all was a given
Once I surrendered
I am surrendered now reminded
That another Eve I may never claim
But truly I am never alone
Of all eternity's possibilities
This is the greatest
I am never alone
