After accepting Azura and Odette’s assignment to use the opportunity of the incoming pirate attack to sneak behind enemy lines and assassinate the Pirate King, you set out for the port capital of Isalis with the guidance of Whispersail, who has a special route known only to himself and his crew. He proceeds to take you on a grand tour of the Shattered Sea, passing first the driftwood city of Barnacleton and its entire population of ill-tempered seagulls, and then the haphazard settlement known as Port Oopsie. Just past The Yawning Maw cavern, you hang a left at Rumplank Spire which is a house balanced atop a steep rocky outcropping where a drunken wizard by the name of Old Greg makes his home. From there, it’s a straight shot to Isalis where Governor’s Island in the center of Bitter-End Bay houses the city’s elite, and where Whispersail himself owns a surprisingly posh gastropub known as Telltales.


Whispersail is a very accommodating host, allowing you all to help yourself to drinks after he sends his dwarven bartender Reginald out to find his connection known as Two-Hats. When the well-known halfling makes an appearance, he and Whispersail haggle over the terms under which Whispersail could get an audience with the Pirate King to learn about the Hollow Sea. Two-Hats relays that the price for such a meeting would be turning over the Harborcrest Heroes to the Pirate King’s control and ensuring they’re incapacitated.


Rather than play into the Pirate King’s hands, you hatch a plan to sneak onto Governor’s Island and confront the Pirate King on your own terms. Whispersail will draw the security forces away from Governor’s Island under the guise of using Telltales as a staging area for the capture of the rest of the group, while you all (and the Pale Mist crew) use Thogun’s Scroll of Water Breathing to approach Governor’s Island from below. Now all you need to do is get in, confront the Pirate King, finish the mission, and get out of Isalis alive after you’ve assassinated their leader.
