I always forget that Steve Martin is an accomplished banjo player. I'm so used to experiencing his work as an actor and a stand-up comic that his musical talent is something that I tend to gloss over. I actually didn't even know this song existed until seeing it featured here, and I'm glad I did because I really love it.

Apparently, Steve Martin and Alison Brown are releasing a collaborative banjo album next month, featuring a number of guest stars (including Jackson Browne on this first single off the album). Just based on this track alone, I'm really excited to listen to the whole album and see what other collaborations these two have come up with. It's exactly the kind of music I like to listen to when I want to relax, with simple melodies and a good singer.
