Now we’re in the month of August
comes on time just like a podcast
it’s the fire creates the embers
Sept and Oct and Nov, December.

Now the mind with thoughts of autumn
wind and rain and cold that brought ‘em
wrings the last from desperation
dregs of summer’s abdication.
