But Isn't it Dull?
I know for most people blogging is a daily journal of what happens in your day. My issue as a stay at home I feel if I wrote out what I did for the day, it would be considered dull. Since I didn't have the time to write about my day here it is, because I always think I'm an absolute bum who didn't do anything all day.

I will go over what I did on the 4th of July since I was too busy to do it then. My day started off not super early, but I had stayed up kinda late the day before and wanted to sleep longer. My son woke because Blaize was awake. They share a room and he was making a lot of sounds. He is nonverbal not silent. He has Down Syndrome and at age 6 is still in a crib. I've been working for over a year to get a cubby bed and hopefully one day we'll get it. I picked him up out of his crib and he instantly hugged me, lately he has beeen really cuddlly. Something he stopped doing for a long time after he was diagnosed with Infantile Spasms. The treatment for it took a lot out of him. So now I will take a moment to get as many hugs as I can. We both ended up falling asleep on the couch. He was slumped over my hip. I got up and got everyone cereal for breakfast. After cooking so many meals this summer I'm kinda over it. I think cereal a couple times a week won't hurt my kids.

After breakfast my son's friend came over. When she does visit it's usually for the entire day. I have 7 kids (two are adults but not quite independent so like way older teens) so adding one more isn't so bad. My son is a little wild and goes about making messes day long and struggles at times with being a good friend. So I spent the next few hours trying to clean, break up fights and take care of new messes. Then I decided to write a poem for Writers Camp. I am trying to write more and I love the contests, but it's not possible to enter all the time. Today I won't even look at any because know I will actually come up with an idea, not right it and then feel bad about it. I'm writing this because I know one way to get better at something, is do it.

I forgot earlier I did some yoga, so go me. I am naturally a little hypermobile so yoga has always been a little easier. I did struggle with downward dog since I'm issues with carrying a lot of tension in the muscles between my shoulder blades. Why does downward dog make so aware of it?

It was getting later and I knew eventually I would need to cook dinner. We were out of charcoal so I brought out our electric and set it up on a plastic table. I cooked burgers outside and my plan was to have Captain America Civil War playing on my food while I grilled some crack burgers. I saw the recipe on facebook so I decided to give it a try. Its actually really good. The only issue is my son and his friend fought the entire time. My dreams of cooking while relaxing ended pretty quickly. It didn't help it was super hot and humid so everyone was a little crabby. We all ate and then watched tv until it was time to go see the fireworks. Since I have kids on the spectrum fireworks have been a little tricky, but most my kids actually love them. I have found not being super close helps with sound plus less people. We have our sweet spot and that is going to an elementary school nearby. We still have an amazing view and my kid who likes to run has a playground to distract him so it works. Last year I found a frog and held it through the entire show. I was holding it on my palm so it had every chance to leave, but didn't. Before we left I set it on the ground and the frog didn't jump away. He stayed right by me. My kids were convinced he wanted to be adopted. This year I said if I find another frog who is emotionally attached to me, we can keep it. We didn't end up with a pet frog.

My one kiddo did run off but he was actually going to his sister standing by the parking lot. We watched the finale with her and then we got into Bertha, our giant van and left. I didn't have the whole crew so it was easier. My husband was home with my youngest and my two oldest decided to skip them this year. We got caught in some traffic and it took a bit longer to get home, but not too bad. We got home and kids after in bed I worked on a birthday video on Canva for a fellow moderator and then went to bed.

As I would call it a lazy day. My agenda today is cleaning like normal, reading a little, writing a blog entry and checking on my garden. So another day where I won't get a lot done, but at least I can say it's because it's Sunday and everyone should have a slow day.
