The Last Hummingbird

In 2035, Sam Jones one of the last birders,
Found one of the last hummingbirds
In an isolated corner of the Siskiyou Mountains,
He speculated the hummingbirds had gone extinct
After global climate change ended
With the nuclear winter post World War 111.
He captured it and took it home for further study
Alas, one of the many feral cats ate it in the middle of the night.
